Rainbow Riches Fortune Favours
Rainbow Riches: Fortune Favours is just one of many slots developed by Barcrest in the Rainbow Riches series. Just like the other slots, this one continues the Irish luck-theme throughout and is played over a petite wagering structure of 5 reels and 10 paylines. Players can expect to be able to adjust their total stakes, though not the number of lines they play with in the game. Wagers are therefore going to stretch from 10p up to £500 on this happy-go-lucky slot. Strike it lucky and you could win up to 2,500 coins in all. The RTP rate varies because of a Big Bet Mode, though (costing you up to £50 extra per spin) from a lacklustre 94% up to a stunning 97.75%.
Wild symbols are hard to miss, being present as giant golden coins. These symbols can substitute for all others, save for fairy scatters. Notably, wild symbols only appear in the game if you place a Big Bet, though, which is positively scandalous.
Fairy icons can turn into random symbols when they appear on the reels, and act in a similar fashion to wild symbols. These appear in both the standard game and the Big Bet Mode games.
Unfortunately, there are no other special features in the Rainbow Riches: Fortune Favours slot. Players can place Big Bets which can bolster the action, though by adding reel sets. A £10 bet increases the number of fairy icons on the reels, whilst £20 bets allow her to transfer between reel sets. A £30 bet offers extra wilds, whilst a £40 bet offers wilds and fairies which can both transfer between reel sets. A £50 bet can do all the above, and remove 10s, Jacks and Queens from the reels.
It is just not acceptable for a slot to hold off all its special features unless a Big Bet is wagered. For this reason alone, Rainbow Riches: Fortune Favours may be the newest addition to the Rainbow Riches series, but it is also by far the worst.
